MELSUNGEN. In einer Feierstunde in der Radko-Stöckl-Schule in Melsungen haben die Bäcker-Innung Schwalm-Eder und die Fleischer-Innung Schwalm-Eder ihre neuen Fachkräfte offiziell freigesprochen. Im festlichen Rahmen begrüßten die Obermeister Fritz Kästel und Olaf Nolte die neuen Fachverkäuferinnen im Nahrungsmittelhandwerk sowie die frisch gebackenen Bäcker- und Fleischergesellen und gratulierten ihnen zur bestandenen Abschlussprüfung.
Schwalm-Eder-Kreis
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Der Schwälmer Brotladen und die Vinothek „La Copa“ laden am Freitag, dem 30. August, um 19 Uhr zu einem Genussabend mit Livemusik in den Schwälmer Brotladen in der Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 9 in Schwalmstadt-Treysa ein.
KNÜLLWALD. Die Polizeiautobahnstation Bad Hersfeld führte am Montag (29.07.) auf der BAB 7 zwischen den Anschlussstellen Bad Hersfeld/West und Homberg/Efze eine mobile Geschwindigkeitsmessung in Richtung Kassel durch. Innerhalb von vier Stunden wurden 90 Verstöße festgestellt und zur weiteren Bearbeitung an die Bußgeldstelle beim Regierungspräsidium Kassel weitergeleitet.
WILLINGSHAUSEN. Vom 13. bis 20. Juli 2024 reisten 31 Personen der Europa-Union aus dem Schwalm-Eder-Kreis nach Cleon d’Andran, Frankreich, um den jährlichen Austausch zu pflegen.
Polizeikontrollen in Homberg und Borken
HOMBERG (EFZE) / BORKEN. Am Sonntag führten Polizisten in der Marburger Straße in Homberg-Lützelwig und am Kraftwerk in Borken Verkehrskontrollen mit dem Themenschwerpunkt „Alkohol und Drogen im Straßenverkehr“ durch. In der Zeit von 15 Uhr bis 23 Uhr wurden insgesamt 89 Fahrzeuge angehalten und 122 Personen kontrolliert.
HOMBERG (EFZE) / WABERN. Der Respekt- und Toleranzpass des Schwalm-Eder-Kreises wurde zum Abschluss des Schuljahres 2024 in Wabern-Falkenberg verliehen. Insgesamt nahmen 15 Schulen, 45 Klassen und über 1.000 Schülerinnen und Schüler, Lehrkräfte sowie Schulsozialarbeiter an dem Programm teil.
WILLINGSHAUSEN. Die Kultur-Initiative Willingshausen e.V. (kurz KIWI) präsentiert den Künstler Hellmuth Pranz in einer Retrospektive. „Es ist eine besondere Ausstellung eines besonderen Menschen und Künstlers“, verspricht Jörg Haafke, der KIWI-Vorsitzende.
OBERAULA-HAUSEN. Über 260 Golfspieler aus 13 Clubs nahmen an der Offenen Woche in Oberaula teil. Jürgen Sattler, Präsident des Kurhessischen Golfclubs, zeigte sich nach drei ereignisreichen Turniertagen am vergangenen Wochenende erfreut über den Verlauf der inzwischen zum 32. Mal veranstalteten Offenen Golftage in Oberaula:
SCHWALMSTADT. Die Linke Schwalm-Eder wählte auf ihrer Kreismitgliederversammlung einen neuen Kreisvorstand. Jürgen Bachmann aus Bad Zwesten bleibt Kreisvorsitzender. Der 42-jährige Informatiker ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in der Bundestagsfraktion der Partei Die Linke.
SCHWALMSTADT | HOMBERG (EFZE). In einer überraschenden Wendung im letzten Kreistag wurde auf Antrag von Günter Rudolf (SPD) die Schulumlage gesenkt, entgegen der Forderungen der FREIE WÄHLER nach einer Erhöhung. Engin Eroglu, Kreis- und Fraktionsvorsitzender der FREIE WÄHLER Schwalm-Eder, betonte die Wichtigkeit von Investitionen in Bildungseinrichtungen und kritisierte den Sparzwang der SPD und ihrer Koalitionspartner.
Diebstahl von Mähroboter
MELSUNGEN. Am Montag um 1:52 Uhr wurde ein Mähroboter der Marke Husqvarna Automower 415X von einem Firmengelände in der Malsfelder Straße in Obermelsungen gestohlen. Die Täter entwendeten den Mähroboter sowie dessen verschraubten Unterstand.
Polizisten nehmen zwei Tatverdächtige aus dem Schwalm-Eder-Kreis fest
BAD WILDUNGEN. In der Nacht auf Montag brachen zwei Männer in das alte Kurhaus in Bad Wildungen ein und entwendeten Kupferbleche. Aufgrund der Hinweise einer Zeugin konnte Polizisten einen 36-jährigen Mann und eine 40-jährige Frau vorläufig festnehmen, nachdem diese versucht hatten, mit ihrem Auto zu flüchten.
Mann (38) in Schwalmstadt festgenommen
SCHWALMSTADT-ZIEGENHAIN. Am Freitagmorgen nahmen Polizisten in Schwalmstadt einen 38-jährigen Mann fest, der im Verdacht steht, mehrere Einbrüche in der vergangenen Woche begangen zu haben.
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Am Sonntag, dem 4. August 2024, um 11 Uhr startet die Stadtführung „Von der ersten Besiedlung bis heute“ mit der Stadtführerin Christa Neuwirth vom Stadtgeschichtlichen Arbeitskreis. Sie nimmt Teilnehmer mit auf eine Zeitreise durch die Geschichte von Schwalmstadt-Treysa.
FRITZLAR. Kürzlich wurden 23 Absolventinnen und Absolventen der Fachschule für Agrarwirtschaft Fritzlar des Landesbetriebs Landwirtschaft Hessen (LLH) feierlich geehrt. Sie erhielten ihre Abschlusszeugnisse und dürfen sich nun „Staatlich geprüfte Betriebswirte bzw. Betriebswirtinnen der Fachrichtung Agrarwirtschaft“ nennen.
Homberg (Efze). In einer kleinen Feierstunde verabschiedeten Landrat Winfried Becker und der Erste Kreisbeigeordnete Jürgen Kaufmann kürzlich acht langjährige und engagierte Mitarbeitende in den Ruhestand.
WILLINGSHAUSEN. Für sein langjähriges Engagement im Friseurhandwerk wurde Carsten Ciemer aus Loshausen mit der goldenen Ehrennadel vom Landesinnungsverband Friseurhandwerk Hessen ausgezeichnet. Bis Mai gehörte Ciemer dem Landesvorstand des Verbandes an und zeichnete sich dort besonders im Ausschuss Tarif und Soziales aus.
SCHWALMSTADT-TRUTZHAIN. Am kommenden Samstag, dem 3. August, lädt die Juso AG Schwalm gemeinsam mit der Grünen Jugend Schwalm Eder, der Jungen Union sowie der Linksjugend zu einer Exkursion zur Gedenkstätte Trutzhain ein.
Ausweichmanöver führt zu Lkw-Unfall
FRIELENDORF. Der zweite Lkw-Unfall innerhalb von vier Tagen ereignete sich auf der Umleitungsstraße, die aufgrund der aktuellen Baustelle auf der B 254 zwischen Schwalmstadt und Frielendorf besteht. Die beiden Lkw-Fahrer blieben glücklicherweise unverletzt, und der Schaden an den Fahrzeugen war gering.
