Fahrradfahrer schwer verletzt
NEUENTAL. Am späten Montagvormittag erlitt ein Fahrradfahrer schwere, aber nicht lebensgefährliche Verletzungen bei einem Unfall zwischen Neuenhain und Dillich. Der Zweiradfahrer wurde von einem abbiegenden Pkw erfasst und prallte mit hoher Wucht gegen die Windschutzscheibe und das Dach des Autos.
Schwalm-Eder-Kreis
SCHWALMSTADT. Am 06. Juli öffnet die Offene Fahrradwerkstatt des ADFC zum zweiten Mal in diesem Jahr. Gegen eine kleine Spende werden Erwachsenenräder, Kinderräder, Roller und Kickboards abgegeben. Die Räder können am Samstag von 10 Uhr bis 12 Uhr in Schwalmstadt-Treysa, Harthbergring 29, abgeholt werden. Jeder, der ein Fahrrad sucht, ist willkommen.
BORKEN. Die Feuerwehr der Stadt Borken feierte am vergangenen Wochenende ihr 100-jähriges Bestehen. Landrat von Funk sagte bereits im Juni 1926 beim Kreisfeuerwehrtag über die im Jahr 1924 gegründete Feuerwehr, dass die Stadt mit Recht stolz auf ihre Wehr sein könne.

SCHWALMSTADT. Michael Kashour beschreibt sein Leben nach der Flucht 2015 aus Syrien: „Hephata hat mir eine Zukunft, Liebe und Bildung gegeben.“
Möglicher Missbrauch des Notrufs
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Am Sonntagmorgen rückten Feuerwehr, Rettungsdienst und Polizei in die Friedrich-Ebert-Straße in Treysa aus. Dort war ein Brand im Obergeschoss eines Hauses gemeldet worden. Wie sich herausstellte, war es zu keinem Brand gekommen, und der Notruf wurde offenbar missbräuchlich abgesetzt.

SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Wenn die Nacht gekommen und das Land dunkel ist und der Mond das einzige Licht, das wir sehen werden, so klingt es Ben E. King in seinem Lied „Stand by Me“. Am Freitagabend lockte Mondlicht viele Menschen auf die Bahnhofstraße in Treysa. Das Mitternachtsshopping ist inzwischen eine Veranstaltung geworden, auf die man sich freut.
NEUENTAL. Mehr als 25 Interessierte aus Bürgerschaft, Politik, Verwaltung, Kultur und Bauwirtschaft nahmen an der Netzwerkveranstaltung „Innen vor außen – gemeinsam“ im Bürgerhaus Schlierbach teil, organisiert vom Verein Regionalentwicklung Schwalm-Aue.

SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Sportliche Aktivitäten sind für die Hephata-Förderschulen ein zentraler Bestandteil der pädagogischen Begleitung von Kindern mit Behinderungen. Bewegung fördert die motorische Entwicklung und eröffnet den Schülern die Möglichkeit, neue Fähigkeiten zu entdecken. Neben den regelmäßigen Angeboten vor Ort spielen auch AGs und Freizeiten eine wichtige Rolle.
Bewerbungsverfahren für nächsten Kurs in 2025 hat begonnen
HOMBERG (EFZE). Der Schwalm-Eder-Kreis bietet im Jahr 2025 kostenlose Qualifizierung zur Kindertagespflegeperson an. Die nächste Info-Veranstaltung findet am 9. Juli in Homberg (Efze) statt.
FRITZLAR. Der Pflegedienst des Malteser-Hilfsdienstes in Fritzlar hat zum zweiten Mal in Folge die Bestnote 1,0 bei der Prüfung des Medizinischen Dienstes der Krankenkassen erhalten.
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Die Soziale Rehabilitation der Hephata Diakonie, die Menschen mit psychischen und/oder Sucht-Erkrankungen im Wohnen und Arbeiten unterstützt, hat den Berufsbildungsbereich ihrer Werkstätten neu strukturiert und ausgebaut.
MELSUNGEN. Das nächste gemeinsame Fußballsehen auf dem Melsunger Marktplatz ist für den morgigen Samstag, den 29. Juni 2024, geplant, wenn die deutsche Mannschaft um 21 Uhr gegen Dänemark antritt.
Autofahrerin überschlägt sich mit Opel
HOMBERG (EFZE). Am Freitag geriet eine Opel-Fahrerin (28) gegen 11:25 Uhr auf der Bundesstraße 254 in Homberg (Efze) in Fahrtrichtung Schwalmstadt von der Straße ab, fuhr einen Abhang hinunter und kam auf dem Dach liegend zum Stillstand. Der Unfall ereignete sich wenige hundert Meter hinter der Abfahrt Homberg/Caßdorf.
HOMBERG (EFZE). Am 15. Juni wurde ein Wildschwein im Landkreis Groß-Gerau positiv auf die Afrikanische Schweinepest (ASP) getestet. Weitere Fälle wurden bestätigt. Das Veterinäramt des Schwalm-Eder-Kreises gibt folgende Verhaltenshinweise zur Vermeidung der Ausbreitung der Schweinepest:
Unfall auf der A49
NEUENTAL. Am Freitagvormittag prallte ein 19-jähriger Autofahrerfahrer auf der A 49 zwischen den Anschlussstellen Neuental und Borken in die mittlere Betonabgrenzung. Der Unfall ereignete sich wenige hundert Meter hinter der Anschlussstelle Neuental.
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Ein erfolgreicher Austausch: Fünf Lehrende und Studierende der Hogeschool Leiden besuchten den Studienstandort Schwalmstadt-Treysa. Der viertägige Besuch an der Evangelischen Hochschule Darmstadt stieß nicht nur bei den Gästen aus den Niederlanden auf Begeisterung.
WILLINGSHAUSEN. Die schlechte Nachricht zuerst: Die Ausstellung „200 Jahre Kinder in der Willingshäuser Malerkolonie“ in der Kunsthalle Willingshausen wird am Sonntag aufgrund von Bauarbeiten geschlossen. Ursprünglich sollte die Ausstellung bis Sonntag, den 14. Juli, zu sehen sein.
WILLINGSHAUSEN. Die Künstlerkolonie Willingshausen lädt Kinder und Jugendliche im Alter von 10 bis 17 Jahren ein, vom 24. Juli bis 2. August 2024 ihre kreative Seite zu entdecken und in die faszinierende Welt des Filmemachens einzutauchen.
