ADFC setzt seine Reihe geführter Mountain-Bike-Rundtouren fort
TREYSA. Für Sonntag, den 15. März, lädt die Ortsgruppe Schwalmstadt des Allgemeinen Deutschen Fahrrad-Clubs (ADFC) zu einer geführten Mountainbike-Tour ein.

ZIEGENHAIN. Eine „Party“ am Teich des Schützenwaldes in Schwalmstadt-Ziegenhain lief offenbar aus dem Ruder. Zerbrochene Bier- und Wodkaflaschen, Essens- und Müllreste sowie eine Feuerstelle künden von einem größeren Saufgelage. Zu guter Letzt fällten die „Gäste“ offenbar noch einen Baum, dessen Stamm in den Teich stürzte.
BAUNATAL|SCHWALMSTADT. Im Jahr 2019 haben 115 Menschen mit Handicap erfolgreich ihre berufliche Bildung in nordhessischen Werkstätten abgeschlossen. Dies feierten die Einrichtungen bdks – Baunataler Diakonie Kassel, Hephata Diakonie, Bathildisheim, Lebenshilfe-Werk Waldeck-Frankenberg und Kasseler Werkstätten mit einer Zertifikatsübergabe.
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Neue Gefahren durch immer globalere Warenkreisläufe, Herausforderungen durch mangelnde Auszubildende sowie Chancen durch Inklusion waren Themen des zehnten Tags der Hauswirtschaft.
SCHWALMSTADT. Wenn auf der Tagesordnung einer Stadtverordnetenversammlung „Verabschiedung des Haushaltes“ steht, ahnt man lebhafte und lange Diskussionen. Genau diese blieben in der Stadtverordnetenversammlung der Stadt Schwalmstadt am Donnerstagabend aber aus. Dennoch ging sie erst gegen 23:00 Uhr zu Ende.
SCHWALMSTADT-NIEDERGRENZEBACH. Ab kommender Woche Montag (9. März) wird die Baustelle in der Ortsdurchfahrt von Niedergrenzebach erweitert und schließt dann auch die Einmündung „Am Dorfbrunnen“ mit ein, teilt der Landkreis am Freitag mit. Die Umleitung bleibt bestehen und führt über die B 254, Leimsfeld und Schönborn nach Obergrenzebach und zurück.

TREYSA. Kürzlich wurden im Feuerwehrhaus Treysa insgesamt 5 Aktenordner mit historischen Unterlagen über das Feuerlöschwesen der Stadt Treysa im Zeitraum von 1858 bis ca. 1950 durch Moritz Schwierzeck und Stephan Maier (1. Und 2. Vorsitzender des Fördervereins der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Treysa 1879 e.V.) an Bernd Raubert, Hans-Joachim Zeiß sowie Günther Schmidt als Vertreter des stadtgeschichtlichen Arbeitskreises übergeben.
Mit neuem Festwirt in die 292. Runde
ZIEGENHAIN. In Schwalmstadt wirft ein Großereignis seine Schatten voraus. Vom 10. bis 15. Juni findet im Stadtteil Ziegenhain wieder die beliebte Salatkirmes statt.
Pflanzung von 50 Obstbäumen an der Strecke dient dem Naturschutz
NEUSTADT / SCHWALMSTADT. Der Weg war das Ziel: Nach kurzer Planungs- und Bauzeit hat der Landkreis Marburg-Biedenkopf nun die ersten knapp 300 Meter Radweg aus dem Radverkehrsentwicklungsplan gebaut: Gemeinsam mit der Stadt Schwalmstadt hat der Kreis die Wegverbindung zwischen Neustadt-Mengsberg und Schwalmstadt-Florshain auf eine Breite von dreieinhalb Metern als Rad- und Wirtschaftsweg ausgebaut.
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. In der Treysaer Altstadt befindet sich seit Sommer 2018 der Werkraum des Ev. Kirchenkreises Schwalm-Eder mit einer Näh- und Handarbeitswerkstatt, einem Repaircafé und einem Fairtrade Laden. Nun wurde das Angebot um eine Siebdruckwerkstatt erweitert. Dank des Projektes „Demokratie Leben“ konnten eine Dunkelkammer eingerichtet, Siebdruckmaschinen, Fotoemulsion, Farben und Rakel gekauft werden.
Demonstration am Samstag
NEUKIRCHEN / SCHWALMSTADT. Deutliche Kritik an der Verurteilung von Bürgermeister Klemens Olbrich durch das Amtsgericht Schwalmstadt übt der Kreisvorstand der kommunalpolitischen Vereinigung der CDU (KPV) im Schwalm-Eder-Kreis. Der KPV Kreisvorsitzende Jürgen Lepper (Neukirchen) erklärt dazu, dass er an drei Terminen des Prozesses als Zuschauer teilgenommen habe.
ZIEGENHAIN. Jeder kann plötzlich in die Situation kommen, Blut zu benötigen. Blut ist ein lebenswichtiges Organ, das nicht künstlich hergestellt werden kann. Für viele Patienten sind Blutspenden überlebenswichtig und ohne Alternative. Der DRK-Blutspendedienst bittet um Ihre Spende.
SCHWALMSTADT. Ein breites Bündnis zivilgesellschaftlicher Akteure aus Schwalmstadt und dem Schwalm-Eder-Kreis ruft gemeinsam dazu auf, ein Zeichen zu setzen für Frieden und Solidarität. Unter dem Titel „Wir stehen zusammen in Schwalmstadt“ veranstaltet das Bündnis am Samstag, 29. Februar, um 13 Uhr eine Mahnwache in der Treysaer Bahnhofstraße in Höhe des Cafés Viehmeier.
Schwälmer Repair-Café öffnet wieder am Samstag
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Immer am letzten Samstag im Monat findet im WERKRAUM in der Steingasse 7 in Treysa das „Schwälmer Repair-Café“ statt. Hier helfen technisch versierte Ehrenamtliche bei der Reparatur von Alltagsgegenständen wie Elektrogeräte, kleine Möbel oder Spielzeug.
SCHWALMSTADT. Häufig wird in Nachrichten über kämpferische Auseinandersetzungen berichtet. Allerdings wird dabei oft ein dunkler Teil dieser Kriege vergessen: die weltweite Zwangsrekrutierung von Kindersoldaten/-innen. Viel zu oft werden die Schicksale nicht erwähnt oder vernachlässigt.
Bürgermeister Pinhard mahnt zu Besonnenheit und verweist auf geltendes Recht
SCHWALMSTADT. Wie soll der städtische Straßenbau künftig finanziert werden? Mit dieser Frage beschäftigen sich auch weiterhin die politischen Gremien der Stadt Schwalmstadt. Für ausreichend Informationsfluss hat Schwalmstadts Bürgermeister Stefan Pinhard gesorgt.
