FRIELENDORF-OBERGRENZEBACH. Der Förderverein Kulturlandschaft Schwalm lädt zu einer besonderen Premiere ein: Zum ersten Mal findet die etablierte Veranstaltungsreihe „Baumgeflüster – Lesung unter Bäumen“ an einer Grundschule statt.

GILSERBERG. Die drei Kandidaten für das Bürgermeisteramt in Gilserberg haben sich entschlossen, gemeinsam zur Wahl am 15. September 2024 aufzurufen. Dazu haben sie folgende gemeinsame Erklärung verfasst:
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Von Freitag, 27. September, bis Sonntag, 29. September 2024, veranstalten die Futurnautinnen in Schwalmstadt-Treysa ein Festwochenende mit einem interaktiven Theaterstück, Live-Musik und einer Installation in der ehemaligen Schmidt’schen Gaststätte. Seit 2022 bieten die Futurnautinnen Kulturprojekte mit dem Schwerpunkt „Zukunft im ländlichen Raum“ an.
FRITZLAR. Die FREIE WÄHLER besuchten am zurückliegenden Freitag das jährliche Standortbiwak der Georg-Friedrich-Kaserne in Fritzlar, organisiert vom Kampfhubschrauberregiment 36.
SCHWALMSTADT-ZIEGENHAIN. Im Rahmen des Festwochenendes zum 485. Jubiläum der Festung Ziegenhain eröffnete am 8. September die Ausstellung „500 Jahre Festung Ziegenhain“ im Museum der Schwalm. Organisiert durch den Arbeitskreis Festung Ziegenhain in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Stadtgeschichtlichen Arbeitskreis und dem Schwälmer Heimatbund, erwartet die Besucher eine umfassende Darstellung der bewegten Geschichte der Festung. Die Ausstellung ist bis Mitte Oktober zu besichtigen.
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Der Sonntag der Hephata Festtage in Schwalmstadt-Treysa stand musikalisch im Zeichen von Frank Sinatra und Abba, dargeboten vom „Happy Sound Orchestra“ und Julia Lindholm. Insgesamt nahmen besuchten die Festtage rund 10.000 Personen.
WILLINGSHAUSEN-MERZHAUSEN. Im März 2017 startete der Dorfverbund Merzhausen das erste Erzählcafé, um Seniorinnen und Senioren in das Dorfleben einzubinden und Vereinsamung zu verhindern.
Vereinsheim in Falkenberg durch Brand stark beschädigt – Polizei ermittelt wegen fahrlässiger Brandstiftung
WABERN-FALKENBERG. Nach dem Brand eines Vereinsheims am Samstagnachmittag in der Schloßstraße in Wabern-Falkenberg hat die Polizei am Brandort drei Personen im Alter von zehn, 13 und 15 Jahren angetroffen.
WILLINGSHAUSEN. Am vergangenen Wochenende wurden in den Willingshäuser Ortsteilen Steina und Zella drei junge Männer bei zwei Verkehrsunfällen leicht verletzt. Die Unfälle wurden durch das Nichtbeachten des Rechtsfahrgebots sowie durch nicht angepasste Geschwindigkeit an die Straßenverhältnisse verursacht. Aus Sicht der vor Ort befindlichen Rettungskräfte verliefen beide Unfälle glimpflich für die Beteiligten.
HOMBERG (EFZE). „50 + 5“ der Kernstadtfeuerwehr – 50 Jahre Autobahnfeuerwehr und fünf Jahre Kinderfeuerwehr –, die Eröffnung eines neuen Platzes in der Altstadt und der Tag des „Offenen Denkmals“ zogen am Sonntag zahlreiche Besucher in die Kreisstadt des Schwalm-Eder-Kreises, Homberg. Der historische Marktplatz diente als zentrale Örtlichkeit des Tages.
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Der Stadtgeschichtliche Arbeitskreis e.V. lädt am Sonntag, dem 15. September 2024, die Besucher des Michaelismarkts zu einem besonderen Ereignis in den Veranstaltungsraum des Steinbaus im Hospital ein. Von 12 Uhr bis 18 Uhr wird die Ausstellung „775 Jahre Stadtrechte Treysa“ präsentiert, die spannende Einblicke in die Stadtgeschichte bietet.
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Das Ständchen im Reisebus, die Feier beim Konzert der „Fäaschtbänkler“ auf den Hephata-Festtagen: Für Tanja Hable aus Naumburg konnte der 50. Geburtstag nicht besser laufen. Gemeinsam mit 1.800 Menschen feierte sie am Samstagabend beim Festival für Vielfalt und Teilhabe in Schwalmstadt-Treysa bis in die Nacht hinein.
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. An diesem Wochenende haben Mitarbeiter der „Bunte Wege gUG“ das Projekt „Betonmauern“ im Auftrag der Stadtverwaltung, unterstützt von Jugendlichen der Jugendpflege, in Schwalmstadt-Treysa fortgeführt.
GUDENSBERG-GLEICHEN. Der Männergesangverein Gleichen 1871 lädt zum großen Freundschaftssingen am Samstag, dem 14. September 2024, ab 16 Uhr ein.
SCHWALMSTADT-DITTERSHAUSEN. Am Sonntag, dem 15. September, lädt die Burschenschaft Dittershausen zum traditionellen Kartoffelfest auf Heinmöllers Hof in der Schlierbacher Straße 2 in Dittershausen ein. Ab 12 Uhr erwartet die Gäste ein vielseitiges Buffet mit Kartoffelgerichten wie Schwälmer Klößen, Salaten, Suppe und Würstchen.
Stadtlauf, Kellerkonzerte, Party-/Rocknacht, Markttag
SCHWALMSTADT. Der Erzengel und Schutzpatron Gabriel gilt als Namensgeber vieler Michaelismärkte. In Treysa war er ursprünglich ein freier Markt der Schuhmacher und Lohgerber, später Kram- und Viehmarkt. Er wurde er zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts aufgegeben. Als bunter Markt mit Veranstaltungen, Buden, Bühnen und Ständen wurde er erst 1985 wiederbelebt.
SCHWALMSTADT-TREYSA. Am Samstagvormittag kamen die Sponsoren des diesjährigen „Altstadt-Run“ in Treysa im Sport- & Modehaus Gundlach zusammen, um auf das Event und die Lauf-Shirts aufmerksam zu machen. Der „Altstadt-Run“ ist nicht nur ein Highlight der Region, sondern zugleich der fünfte Wertungslauf des „Schwalm-Eder-Laufcup 2024“, was ihn für Läuferinnen und Läufer besonders attraktiv macht.
SCHWALMSTADT. Arbeit und Bildung e.V. unterstützt langzeitarbeitslose Menschen im Schwalm-Eder-Kreis, indem es ihnen die Möglichkeit bietet, aktiv an gemeinnützigen Projekten teilzunehmen. Aktuell nutzen die Teilnehmenden des Projekts „AGH – Gemeinnützige Arbeitsgelegenheiten“ das schöne Wetter für eine Jungfernfahrt mit selbst sanierten Kajaks auf der Schwalm.
In Borken heute Party auf der Bühne
BORKEN. Der Auftakt für das Stadtparkfest in Borken ist gelungen! Mit dem alljährlichen Lampionumzug der Borkener Kinder begann gestern Abend um 19 Uhr das Stadtfest. Gewartet hatten geschätzt 800 Besucherinnen und Besucher vor allem auf die Ärzte- und Toten Hosen-Cover Band, „Die toten Ärzte“.
